Post Graduate Certificate Course in Pedagogical Explorations in Socially Engaged Art
This course provides an introduction to both the conceptual and empirical aspects of Socially Engaged Art (SEA). It covers various forms of art, including public art, community art, collaborative art, site-specific art, and participatory art. The curriculum explores the history, processes, stages, strategies, and ethical considerations related to these art forms. Additionally, it examines their applications across disciplines such as sociology, history, environmental science, gender and media studies, and urban studies within social contexts.
Students will practically learn about the significance of Socially Engaged Art while actively participating in its development within the neighbourhood of the University, considering the rapid transformation of the village and its historical significance.
Eligibility
A candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
